There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’ stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other. So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias. Kyla is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the Philippines and is a fan of TNX, and particularly of KyungJun & SungJun. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more! Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from? Mabuhay, I am Kyla, 21 years old, a THX from the Philippines 🇵🇭. How and when did you enter the fandom? I’m became a fan since “LOUD” started. I am a proud LOUDER (JYP-PSY collaborative survival show, SBS’ “LOUD”). What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group? They are my hope and happiness, and they provide me with comfort in so many ways. They’re also extremely versatile, soothing, talented, and one-of-a-kind. Aside from that, they are stunning from every angle. I will do my best to support them. What do you think differentiates this rookie group from the others? What makes TNX special and different than others is that even though the pressure was 1000% higher, knowing that they would be the first-ever group that PSY and the whole PNATION will be handling, they exceeded the expectations they had with themselves. They exceeded the company’s expectations with their talent, and they successfully debuted, capturing the heart of the masses. For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words? TNX is a 6-member rookie boy group and the first boy group from PNATION formed through the audition show “LOUD”. They debuted on 17th of May 2022 with their 1st mini album “Way Up” and debut song ‘비켜 (MOVE)’. Choi TaeHun is the leader and vocalist of the group. He is one of the first trainees in PNATION alongside KyungJun. Check out his cover of ‘Bambi’ by his role model BaekHyun from EXO. Woo KyungJun is the oldest member and rapper. Fluent in English, he lived in Australia for 10 years. Here’s his cover of ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’. Jang HyunSoo is a vocalist. He is the mood maker or the comedian of the group. He also went viral on Douyin (Chinese Tiktok) during his pre-debut days for his mini snowman making skills/video.

He studied in the Philippines for a few years when he was young. He’s the ACE of PNATION Boy Trainees and here are the reasons why: Eun Hwi is the rapper and producer of the group. He participated in writing and composing on their 1st mini-album. He composed the many tracks during “LOUD”.He used to be a ski athlete and won 1st place for 4 years in a row at the “National Junior Ski Championship”. Check out Hwi’s self-written song ‘Beast Mode’. Oh SungJun is the maknae and a vocalist of the group. He’s a boss baby-even though he’s the youngest, he acts like a big brother. Despite his young age, he auditioned and decided to pursue a career as a singer. His vocal tone is the most unique and charming one in the group. Here’s his own rendition of ‘Peaches’… … and his legendary performance on “LOUD”. Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut? Yes, I do know all of them since I watched “LOUD” and kept track of them since the show was done. The first member that caught my attention was KyungJun when he got confused about how old he is when they introduced themselves to other trainees. Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why. The two JUNs are my biases. The oldest and youngest members, KyungJun and SungJun had an extraordinary spark in me, and when I found out how hilarious they are, I literally fall in love with them. And TMI, they have the same birthday. It seems like they are destined for each other. What do you particularly like in this debut title track? Do you have a favorite B-side? The lyrics, rap, beats, choreo, everything is absolutely perfect. The song’s message somehow gives us the motivation to keep doing our stuff confidently. My favorite B-side is ‘Your Favorite Melody’. Hwi wrote, compose and produce the song. Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias? I recommend their performances from “LOUD”. First, you can watch ‘WIN’. I also recommend ‘I’m Not Cool’. ‘난 네 Brother’ is another must watch. I suggest new fans to also watch the ‘Run Devil Run’ stage. The ‘180초’ stages are also amazing. Also their pre-debut show “The New Six”, … the ‘PLOUD’ Predebut series, … and ‘PNATION News’ should all be watched by new fans. What are the things you are looking for in their future activities? I’m looking forward to more projects and shows and also a WORLD TOUR!! For you, what are your bias’ best stage outfits until now? Please share a picture or fan cam. These outfits are so perfect for TNX, they look so cool. What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being happy and healthy? I have so many dreams for TNX, but my two greatest dreams are for them to get their first music show win and, of course, Rookie of the Year. If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign? I would love to attend all of them, but I will choose one to attend, it’s their concert. Concerts are the greatest experience for me since you can dance like you’re in a club and scream your lungs out! Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias? It’s not with my bias, but I remember crying during the last episode of “LOUD”. It was when HyunSoo almost got eliminated but then PSY used his card to save HyunSoo. I couldn’t imagine the group without HyunSoo, so that made me cry. If you could write a book about your bias, what would the first and last lines be? If I could write a book, the first line would be, “We don’t meet by chance; our paths are meant to cross.” and the last line would be, “Whatever happens in the future, wherever our paths take us, this moment will be ours.” Thank you for answering our questions, Kyla.
